Please, you're making me blush! I don't think I'd acculturate to your winters too well, mind you, you wouldn't have wanted the terrible earthquake that has caused chaos in our second largest city, Christchurch either. A horrific event.

When I was planning the bathroom, I wanted to recreate what I had originally. The same tiles, colours etc, just bring it into the 21st century. Thanks for saying it's cool, I think it is too.

Nice making new friends :)

I think that New Zealand fascinates me nearly as much as Michigan fascinates you.   I'm not sure how much you'd love the two-plus feet of snow we have on the ground all winter, but I live in a very rural area, and it's beautiful.   Your country has been much in our thoughts this week.    When I was looking at your photos a week or so back, I assumed you lived in the US, and thought, "how very cool, he's put European bathroom fixtures in his bathroom," LOL.

For some reason the State of Michigan fascinates me. I have made some friends with folks in Battle Creek, not that far from you where you are. Anyway, I think your home is just super.

Thank you Rory - it is a simple, humble home five blocks from a beautiful Lake Michigan beach, and we still have much left to do.     We think it may have been a "kit" home, but we know it definitely was not a Sears and Roebuck home.   Research continues....
