Foursquare attic finishing

Does anyone out there have experience turning the attic of an American Foursquare into a master suite? My home is a 1928 2000 sq ft home. The attic is a walk-up accessed by a door in the upstairs hallway. It's the typical pyramid shaped space found in foursquares. I am uncertain whether there is enough space since on all sides the vertical space is diminished by the roof sloping down. Tell us about yourself:
Lover of art and architecture. Mom of four. Pilates teacher and studio owner. Partial to Craftsman bungalow style, having grown up in Southern CA. Discovering the joys of living in an American Foursquare.
Tell us about your Arts & Crafts house experiences and dreams:
Have dreamed of owning an old house for years. Finally own 1920's Arts & Crafts American Foursquare which is in great shape, but I would like to bring out more authenticity and original beauty. One project I want to entertain is turning my attic into a master suite, but not sure if it is possible with the pyramidal, hipped roof -- will there be enough space.
